Bodyboarding is a form of surfing using short, high performance foam boards. Choose a smaller board for light to medium weight riders and a larger stiffer board for heavier riders.

Bodyboards are used by all ages to ride any size of wave. Because you lie on the board you learn very quickly to paddle out through the surf, turn around and catch your first wave.

Fins give extra leg power when paddling out or catching a wave. Bodyboarding flippers, known as ‘Fins’, have much shorter blades than a diver uses and give you ‘burst speed.’

Wetsuits are for extra warmth and they allow you to surf in colder waters. On a warm summers day swimwear is OK but when the surf is up you will want to stay in longer.

Bodyboard Leashes are attached by velcro to the wrist or upper arm and keep the rider with the board even in a wipe-out. Surf Wax is rubbed on the top of the board for extra grip.

Bodyboard Bags make it easy to transport board, leash, fins and wetsuit in a ‘backpack style’ board bag. An attraction of bodyboarding is the small amount of equipment required.

Crazywater Bodyboard Packages save you £££s on bodyboards, fins and accessories.

Bodyboarding Beaches at Highcliffe and Bournemouth offer ideal conditions. Wherever there is a wave you will find bodyboarders and you can even learn to ride on small summer waves.
